Kambaqt ishq : Why god? Why me.....

Cast : Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Silvester Stallone , Denise Richards ,Amritha Arora , Aftab

How much you enjoy Kambakkht ishq is directly proportionate to just how low your standards have fallen. This battle-of-the-sexes saga starring Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor is a loud, vulgar and seriously offensive film that has reportedly been made at a price of Rs 60 crore. In that much money, you could feed an entire starving nation. And you'd be blessed for it.
I'm not saying the makers of Kambakkht ishq have no business spending so much money. I'm just saying, if you must spend Rs 60 crore, the least you can do is give us a good film.

Akshay Kumar plays Viraj Shergill, a Hollywood stuntman who  loves his bachelor lifestyle too much to settle for anything permanent. He meets his match in Kareena Kapoor who plays Simrita Rai, a medical student-cum-part-time model who hates the very sight of men, convinced they're only interested in women for sex. The two of them clash when their respective best friends decide to tie the knot, but things take an unexpected turn when - believe it or not - Simrita accidently loses her musical watch inside Viraj's body while performing a surgery on him. Mortified that she could be sued for her negligence, she must find a way to get him back on the operation table so she can retrieve the watch. He, on the other hand, can't seem to figure out why his ears keep ringing with a musical chant every hour.
Watching Kambakkht Ishq, you know you can't apply logic to a film like this. There are dozens of questions that have no answers - Who allowed her to keep her watch on while performing surgery? What kind of battery does this watch run on for it to break into music every hour inside a man's stomach? What kind of stuntman can afford a luxurious Apartment overlooking the sea? Where in the world can you expect to find Silvester Stallone lurking in alleys waiting to come to the rescue of helpless girls?I could go on till tomorrow.
The problem with this film isn't that it's ridden with logical loopholes. Those you're even willing to turn a blind eye to, in keeping with the film's screwball nature. But the seemingly toneless film takes you no where but hell.
I  don't see the humor in Akshay and Kareena referring to each other as "dog" and "bitch" repeatedly, and believe me, those are some of the milder profanities they use in the film. Besides, there are innumerable references to sex, virginity and homosexuality, and to be honest many of them just aren't funny.
I want to add here that slapping a woman is just wrong, and using that as comedy is plain offensive. In more scenes than one, Akshay Kumar physically abuses female characters - including one in which he slaps Amritha Arora across her face four times. I don't care that  probably Amritrha  deserves some kind of punishment for her lousy acting, but that is plain wrong.
A film that is testament to lousy acting, Cheap adult dialouges , Meaningless story, and not even a clean and logical scene, you really feel that 60 crore is as good as burnt. Lets hope that this never happens again.....

INDIANA JONES: The Last Crusade

Released:1989
Cast :   Harrison Ford, Sean Connery, River Phoenix, Denholm Elliot, John Rhys-Davies, Julian Glover, Allison Doody
Director :Steven Spielberg

When the Legendary Actor Sean Connery and Harisson ford is seen together in a sequel, you know your money is worth it.

In this edition, Indiana Jones recruited by a wealthy collector (Julian Glover) to find nothing less than the Holy Grail. Along the way, Indy encounters a well-armed band of religious zealots, Nazis, and his fussy father (Sean Connery), the missing leader of the Grail project who doesn’t embrace his son’s sense of adventure.

The Characters are so well written and executed that you get plunged into a world of crude and ruthless fights. The actors show full justice to their respective roles that it is impossible for you to see somebody else in their place.

An Indiana Jones movie is never complete without action, and this movie isn't any different. Hard hiiting punches to classy sword fights, wild west gun shots to rusty rope swinging, this movie has every thing. But a little too much at times. The Fight  between the Nazi General and Jones is so long that you feel slightly irritated, but none the less it is super fine scene.

Another smart thing about the movie is that it has a very smart script. The whole rustic plot of the movie is peppered  is a few comedy scenes that is so situational that you force yourself to giggle. Take scene where Adolf Hitler signs the Map to the HOLY GRAIL, thinking that Jones is a  admirer... Such scenes make the movie a little lite on the whole.

Another reason that i feel is the success of this Indiana Jones Movie is that it uses very less amount of Fantasy as compared to the usual Jones movies. Also the Acting of Mr.Sean Connary and Ford is so timed and precise that you dont really care about the plot of the movie.

Even though, the Last crusade is not a Completely flawless movie, it is really watchable and those with a an adventurous heart would find it very exciting....
